Meet Alysha Riel
Owner & Instructor
From teaching her childhood dogs to balance treats on their noses to working with animals in a veterinary setting, conducting training courses across the metro, and earning national recognition for her dog training expertise, Alysha brings a wealth of experience to the field. Her diverse skill set enables her to work effectively with dogs of all breeds and backgrounds. She infuses her training with fun, encouragement, and enthusiasm, ensuring her students enjoy the process as much as she does.

Alysha and her husband, Scott, share their lives with four beloved dogs: two Boston Terriers, a French Bulldog, and an American Staffordshire Terrier. Together, they travel nationwide to compete in events such as Flyball, Dock Diving, Barn Hunt, Agility, Obedience, Rally, and UpDog. She also enjoys engaging her dogs in Lure Coursing, Fetch, Fit Dog activities, and Canine Good Citizen training.

Alysha's achievements in the canine sports world are exceptional. She has placed in the Top 10 at the North America Diving Dogs National Championships for seven consecutive years. Her dogs have collectively earned three National Championships in Dock Diving, one Regional Championship in Dock Diving, three Barn Hunt Championships, and four Flyball Championships. Notable individual accolades include Zero’s 2023 Hare Award from the Key City Kennel Club, Rocky’s distinction as the first French Bulldog to achieve a B Class title in Barn Hunt, and Ouija’s groundbreaking accomplishments as the first Boston Terrier to achieve the highest levels of the AKC Fetch Test Retriever and a High in Trial at their breed’s National Specialty Obedience competition in 2024.
Methodology
Alysha actively participates in seminars across various canine sports, constantly refining her skills to bring out the best in her dogs. Her training philosophy blends balanced techniques with an individualized approach, tailoring methods to "the dog in front of her." While her passion for bully breeds requires a specialized touch, she offers a versatile toolkit to address the unique needs of different breeds.
